"We began by going to the Mississippi to gather some trash, plastic, rope, metal, twigs and branches from the riverbank. Then the CAC team continued this process for a few months. I constructed the Balsa Snake Raft to Escape the Flood with their help.
The monumental color scheme was based on a native flower: Louisiana Iris Sinfonietta.
For Pueblo de altares and the wall of precarios objects, I combined a selection of objects dating from the 70s onward, along with new works created in situ." --Cecilia Vicuña
